Tune in for Rosemary's Valentines & Anti-Valentine's Day shows on Feb. 13-14

I created my first Valentine’s and Anti-Valentine’s Day shows in February of 1991 when I was the host of WYEP’s morning show. Over the years the show has become a tradition, moving from the morning to the afternoon.

Valentine’s Day is a celebration of love, from the ridiculous to the sublime. The biggest challenge with this show is keeping it upbeat and limiting the ballads and what the kids call “mushy stuff.”

The Anti-Valentines Day show allows us to laugh at or cry over relationships that don’t work out or have run their course. The balance between love and venomous emotions is a delicate one. In the long run it’s okay to look back with a sense of been there, done that and survived.

I’m looking forward to bringing you the 35th edition of The Anti-Valentine’s Day and Valentine’s Day show. Let’s make it a date!

Tune in on Feb. 13 and Feb. 14 from 2-6 p.m. for these special programs!

Rosemary Welsch has been the Afternoon Host, Program Director, and Senior Producer for 91.3 WYEP. Welsch is the longest-tenured employee at WYEP, having just celebrated her 30th anniversary as a full-time employee. She began as a volunteer D.J. during the station’s salad years in 1981.
