Fleet Foxes released a surprise album Tuesday, marking the autumnal equinox.
“Shore” runs 55 minutes and features 15 new songs from the band.
In an artist statement from Robin Pecknold, the lead singer says, “If you had asked me this past April, watching the world be rearranged and with a half-finished album on a hard drive in my closet, I would have told you the record was likely to never come out at all. So it is an enormous joy that it all came together in the way that it did and that we’re able to share it so soon after its completion.”
