Pittsburgh Artists Cancel Tours, Venues Cancel Local Shows

Pittsburgh City Paper music writer Jordan Snowden joined WYEP’s Liz Felix on the Evening Mix to talk about the Pittsburgh bands who are rearranging their touring schedules, as big festivals like South By Southwest and Coachella get canceled or rescheduled.

Canceling a trip to SXSW can mean more than just a financial loss for an independent artist; it’s also a lost opportunity to play in front of labels, press and industry tastemakers. Liz and Jordan discuss some ways to support local musicians who are dealing with a change in plans.
