Every year, the WYEP music staff gets together and chooses one local artist to be our Pittsburgh Artist of the Year. Though 2021 was another difficult year for musicians in general, Pittsburgh artists emerged from isolation with an abundance of wonderful and poignant new works.
We’re proud to announce The Living Street as our Pittsburgh Artist of the Year for 2021. The Living Street, featuring Edward Angelo and Nick Guckert, make songs that help difficult situations feel easier and help us to celebrate what’s good in life.
