Remembering Duane Allman

Alan Paul is a Pittsburgh native and New York Times Bestselling author with a deep love of The Allman Brothers Band. Alan joined Morning Mix Host Joey Spehar to talk about the legacy of Duane Allman on the 50th anniversary of his tragic death in a motorcycle crash.

Listen for insight into just why we’re still talking about the way Duane played, his endless generosity with the musicians he played with, and even a Pittsburgh connection. Read Alan Paul’s tribute to Duane Allman and subscribe to his newsletter here.

Joey Spehar is a Pittsburgh native who started as a volunteer D.J. at WYEP, fresh out of college in 2006. He took on any job they’d let him do like editing audio, engineering remote broadcasts, and shoveling snow.
