On her last day at 90.5 WESA, Morning Edition host Maria Scapellato stopped by WYEP to guest DJ a couple of songs with Joey Spehar. The West Mifflin native is hanging up her headphones after 6 years of locally hosting NPR’s morning coverage of news, politics, arts, sports, and more from around the world and in and around Pittsburgh. She also took the opportunity to reflect on her broadcasting career and the people she’s had the pleasure of working with.
