Drowning Clowns CD Release Party

Described as psychedelic rock opera, Drowning Clowns’ (husband & wife team Mike Speranzo and Rusted Root’s Liz Berlin collaborating with Crisis Car’s Frank Spadafora, pro skateboarder Evan Smith and others) music is a cataclysmic mix of rock, indie, americana and electro-pop for fan’s of Radiohead, Pink Floyd, PJ Harvey, Bright Eyes, Janes Addiction, Fleet Foxes, Genesis, and Postal Service .  From haunting ballads such as “One Request” to the thunderous anthem “Deep Blue Sea,” “All That’s Covered Over” delivers a sense of controlled chaos that can only stem from the collaboration of musicians with such diverse styles and long standing experience.

Drowning Clowns have created an album that delivers a universal message of adaptation and evolution through this one of a kind musical convergence. The album is an artistic representation of the struggle, growth, challenges and success of developing a business, starting a family and creating a life while being entrenched in the fast-paced music industry. Drowning Clowns' debut album “All That’s Covered Over” is a labor of love from a collaborative of Pittsburgh’s most gifted musicians.

Come out and celebrate years in the making with a free show held by the Mr. Smalls family.

The other bands performing include special guests Broken Fences, Jazzam, The Big Bend, Phat Man Dee and more!
