Traditional Ties Host

Having no musical ability of my own, I began to search for ways to get more involved in the music, eventually starting to help with The Bluegrass Jam Session in January of 1985.
Traditional Ties started in July of 1985 as a Tuesday evening show featuring Bluegrass and classic country music. In recent years Traditional Ties has become a new release show with frequent features and interviews.
I have also been associated with the International Bluegrass Music Association and several festivals over the years, as well as the much missed Elizabeth, PA Moose Lodge shows.
In 1998, I also won Bluegrass Now’s “DJ of the Year” award. The ceremony was held in Nashville.

November 9, Finally after several delays we will be presenting the 2008 International Bluegrass Music Awards Show. The time remaining at the conclusion of the awards will be used to salute our Veterans.
November 16, New Bluegrass from Alan Munde Gazette, Jett’s Creek and Buncombe Turnpike.
November 23, New Bluegrass from Banjo player of the year, Kristin Scott Benson, and Pam Gadd.
November 30, New Bluegrass from Earl Scruggs with Family and Friends, Joe Mullins and the Radio Ramblers and The Kickin’ Grass Band.

December 21, All Christmas grass, religious and secular will be mixed except for the second half hour is all religious.
December 28, Still Christmas grass mixed with some of the best of 2008.
January 4, Hour two will be our traditional presentation of “The Breaking Up Christmas Story.” Hour one more of the best of ’08.
January 11, The show delayed from 12/7 will be aired. Time sensitive remarks should be ignored. New – David Parmley, Town Mountain, and Nothin’ Fancy.
