Amelia White

Sunnyhill Live! Presents: Amelia White US Album Tour

East Nashville based singer-songwriter Amelia White will perform at UU Church of the South Hills (Sunnyhill) in Mt. Lebanon on November 10 as part of her tour supporting the US release of her album "Rhythm of the Rain". Released in the UK last year, "Rhythm of the Rain" was named by Americana UK as one of the best albums of the year, while her previous album “Home Sweet Hotel,” was selected by the British newspaper The Telegraph as on of the top country albums of 2016.

Raised In Virginia, and based in Nashville, Amelia White cut her musical teeth in the New England area, in the same scene that produced Mary Gauthier, Lori McKenna, and Aimee Mann. Asked to describe her music, Amelia says "It's neo-folk pop...a little gritty, a little pretty. Think Chris Isaak meets Patty Griffin meets Aimee Mann meets Lucinda Williams". No Depression Magazine says “if you crossed Fleetwood Mac with Lucinda Williams this would be the result”, and “Amelia gives the audience her whole heart.” Amelia has shared stages with: Asleep At the Wheel, Brandy Clark, Tim O’ Brien and Justin Townes Earle to name a few.

The performance takes place in the 220-seat sanctuary of the Unitarian Universalist Church of the South Hills (Sunnyhill) in Mt. Lebanon, PA. Refreshments will be available for purchase before the show and during intermission. The building and restrooms are wheelchair accessible. Service dogs welcome.
