Once upon a time, a few months after Three Mile Island and just months before Studio 54 would close it’s doors ending the wonderful era of disco. A Barry Manilow, Jimmy Hendrix, show tune loving woman and a Beatles-hating, ABBA & Michael Jackson loving man gave birth to there second and last child. Me.

With musical genes like this there was no telling where I would be heading, or what I would be listening to. As I grew up I developed an eclectic taste in music; everything from show tunes, classical, oldies, top 40 to hard rock, metal to folk and singer songwriter. I even danced around to television theme songs. No genre was off limits. My fist concert was New Kids on the Block. I believe this was a right of passage to pursue other acts such as Color Me Bad and Paula Abdul (but those shows would come later) My first concert quickly led to a second, a Damn Yankees/Jackyl show at the age of 12 accompanied by my older sister. These would be followed by many, many, many more live shows. As I get older my love for music, especially live music, keeps growing. Which is why I am so excited to have found a wonderful workplace such as WYEP.

Since I was not blessed with a musical talent gene; I followed my other love, acting, into college. I graduated from The Conservatory or Performing Arts at Point Park University (back when it was just a college) with a BA in Theater Arts. This degree sits very nicely on a shelf and looks pretty. While at Point Park I spent a year gracing the airwaves as an evening disc jockey on the College Station that no one outside of the building could hear.

I currently pursue acting in my free time and perform with many local theater companies. I am currently the Vice President of Stage Right of Fox Chapel. Stage Right has a long rich history and currently performs at the Boyd Community Center. While in college I discovered my love for improvisation as well. After studying it for a few years I co-founded I-Factor and perform with them, check it out I-Factor. So a huge highlight in my life was when I met meet Brad Sherwood and Colin Mochrie and I got to see them perform. I can also be seen gracing the screen of the longest running internet web series Something To Be Desired.

Prior to working at WYEP I spent 4 years as Office Manager at the Kelly-Strayhorn Theater. And before that you could find my smiling face at Heinz Field, PNC Park, and Three Rivers Stadium serving you concessions. I’ve also spent too many years of my life working in retail.

I currently live in Monroeville with my husband Elliot and sassy cat, Dusty.
