91.3 WYEP Partners With Pittsburgh Cultural Trust On Virtual Three Rivers Arts Festival

91.3 WYEP is partnering with the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust to keep Southwestern Pennsylvania’s summer music traditions alive—virtually.

Due to concerns surrounding the coronavirus pandemic, the traditional versions of both the Three Rivers Arts Festival and WYEP’s Summer Music Festival have been replaced in favor of delivering similar experiences in a digital environment from Friday, June 5, to Sunday, June 14, 2020.

“WYEP has enjoyed a long-standing relationship with the Dollar Bank Three Rivers Arts Festival, and so many of the incredible main stage concerts over the years have been introduced by WYEP on-air hosts. In this topsy-turvy time, we are excited to explore with the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust a new way of presenting an Arts Festival virtually.”

Visit trustarts.org/traf to find a schedule of all the performances to be held during the Three Rivers Arts Festival, including those from Inez, Buffalo Rose, and Teen Musicians from the WYEP Reimagination Project.

Pittsburgh bands Inez and Buffalo Rose, who were slated to take the stage in Schenley Park, performed virtual concerts during the digital Three Rivers Arts Festival on June 6 at 7:30 p.m.
